About
Our story began 10+ years ago, when we met in a small writing group years into our respective journeys to publication. Cheryl was a biotech attorney and mom who’d earned an MFA in Writing for Young People. Victoria was an MBA and mom working in non-profit who’d spent a year learning to write kidlit with legendary editor Deborah Brodie.
We connected over a shared love of craft and process and became each other’s “go-to person” for brainstorming, story swaps, and kidlit questions. We also bonded as friends and cheered each other on. Our first publishing offers landed that same year.
Here’s to Success!
Brainstorming!
Paying it forward seems only natural. We’ve each taught hundreds of students like you — people with an itch to write and a hunger to learn. We can’t wait to share our knowledge, inspired by our own education and our experiences as successful working authors.
It’s time to begin your kidlit journey!

“I can’t say enough good things about working with Victoria. Taking her writing class was instrumental in helping me better understand the elements of story and craft for any age reader. Her thoughtful feedback, genuine enthusiasm, and good humored teaching style helped launch what I hope to be a long, rewarding career writing for young readers. “
